How to seed with the Chainpot set
A five-piece seeding set turns one Chainpot into 264 sown cells in a few simple steps — ready to raise into transplant-ready seedlings.
One set, the whole Chainpot at once
The seeding set holds the Chainpot open while you fill, dibble and sow every cell in one pass. It works with both coated and raw seed, and you can choose the seed size and the number of grains per cell.
From here, raise the seedlings as you normally would. When they're ready, the whole Chainpot goes to the field on the transplanter.

Step by step
Seeding in six steps
Open the Chainpot
Insert the opening rod between the white label gaps of the Chainpot to expand it.
Set in the box
Spread the pot into the opening frame, then set the frame into the seedling box.
Fill with soil
Add a little more soil than usual and tap around the sides with the brush so each cell is filled firmly and evenly.
Open the seeding holes
Press the dibble board down from the top to open a planting hole in every cell at once.
Sow the seed
Sow with the pot seeder. Coated or raw seed both work — choose the seed diameter and number of grains per cell.
Cover with soil
Lift the frame away horizontally and cover the seed with soil. The Chainpot is ready to raise.
